Just another travel blog

Travel Blog

Well my first post went well and the blog is looking great at the moment so i’ll take some time to explain what I am doing with this blog and how I plan to do it.

Basically, from 24th July until 22nd August I will be in Tanzania on a Gap Medics placement. This means that I will be spending a month in Africa gaining vital work experience in a local hospital. I am carrying this out as I aspire to a doctor when I am older and the work experience and learning how a foreign hospital works will be invaluable when it comes to my university application. If you would like any more information on my placement please visit the Gap Medics website; http://www.gapmedics.com

Over the next few months I will be posting and updating my blog with key events in the build up to me flying off to Tanzania. This will include; getting my vaccinations, travel insurance and visas, all my essentials for the trip and any other preparations for the trip. I will also probably post once a week in the weeks that I haven’t done anything major just to explain how excited I am at that moment in time!!

Then finally when I get to Tanzania, I will be updating everyone back in England with how the placement is going, what i’ve been doing, how i’m finding being away from my parents for a long time and also pictures from the trip. I also intend for my blog to help others who wish to become a doctor and are in the same place I was in last year or in the same place as I am now!

Thank you and I hope you enjoy this blog over the coming months!
